Farming, widely regarded as one of the oldest professions, has, from time immemorial, sustained humanity through the cultivation of food and the provision of essential resources needed for survival.

In recognition of the vital role agriculture plays in society, Farmlife Media is set to debut Nigeria’s maiden edition of the Farmlife Open Challenge, an initiative designed to discover, inspire, celebrate and amplify the remarkable contributions of Nigerian farmers and agropreneurs.

The initiative is also aimed at helping farmers and agropreneurs realise their dreams by encouraging agricultural participation and boosting agricultural production.

Farmlife Media has been helping to push agricultural narratives in Nigeria and beyond by engaging critical stakeholders in the sector in problem identification and problem-solving.

Through these engagements, the media organisation seeks to enrich agricultural narratives, highlight opportunities and challenges, and contribute to the development of a robust agricultural sector.

The Farmlife Open Challenge
From September 12 to October 1, 2026, the Farmlife Open Challenge seeks to engage agricultural enthusiasts in creativity and innovation within the agricultural space, while further encouraging greater participation in farming through the showcasing of agricultural capacities that can enhance agricultural production.

We may want to ask you this:

Have you ever come across an agricultural story so inspiring that you thought, “People need to hear this”?

We want you to know this:

Well, this is your chance to tell that story.

Welcome to the Farmlife Open Challenge—a platform created to discover, celebrate and amplify the remarkable things Nigerians are doing through agriculture.
And participating is simple.
Starting Your Story
Start by choosing your story.

It could be about a farmer who refuses to give up despite the challenges. It could be about an agropreneur creating opportunities where others see none.

It could be an innovative idea solving a problem in agriculture. Or perhaps there is something happening in your own community—something agricultural, inspiring and impactful—that deserves to be seen and heard.

Once you find your story, tell it your way.
Create your entry as a video, an article, a photo essay—or any other format that brings your story to life, based on the official challenge themes.

Then, register and submit.
Simply visit farmlife.com.ng/challenge, complete your registration and upload your entry.
That’s it!
It is free to enter, and it is open to every Nigerian aged 18 and above.

And here’s the exciting part: if your story stands out, you stand a chance to win ₦1,000,000, one acre of farmland, and national recognition through Farmlife Media.

Think about it.
Every day, across Nigeria, ordinary people are doing extraordinary things through agriculture.
Farmers are feeding communities.

Young people are building businesses.
Agropreneurs are creating jobs.

Innovators are solving problems, but many of these stories remain untold.

Your story could be the one that changes that.

So don’t keep it to yourself.

Tell the story. Share the impact. Inspire Nigeria.

Farmlife Media seizes this opportunity to call on corporate bodies and government agencies to be part of this initiative through sponsorship support.

Visit farmlife.com.ng/challenge and submit your entry today.

The Farmlife Open Challenge.

Your story. Your opportunity. Your impact.
