The Calabar – Abuja super highways is one of the major road legacy of the president Bola administration which is gaining transactions in the country .
The Renewed Hope National Media Tour recently embarked on inspection of the ongoing Calabar–Ebonyi–Benue–Nasarawa–Abuja Super Highway, a major infrastructure project linking the South South, South East, and North Central regions of Nigeria.
The Minister of Works, David Umahi, described the project as more than a road, calling it an “investment corridor” expected to boost trade in agricultural produce such as cassava, yams, cashews, and palm oil across Cross River, Benue, and Ebonyi States, while also strengthening connectivity to Cameroon.
He further noted that the concrete road technology introduced under President Bola Tinubu’s administration is being deployed nationwide to improve durability and long-term infrastructure quality.
According to him, the first section of the highway has been extended from 118 kilometres to 123.6 kilometres, with dualisation works currently ongoing.
While adding that the second section, which stretches through Benue and Kogi States to Nasarawa, has been approved and awarded for construction.
The National Media Tour is being organised by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in collaboration with the Presidential Media Team to showcase ongoing federal projects. The South-East inspection follows earlier visits to projects in the North-West region.
